A deer repellent formulation for warding off a deer from a plant is provided. The deer repellent formulation contains 97.56 % by volume of coyote urine containing 0.2% C8 fatty acids to which macerated wolf glands are added to make 1.83 % by volume, at 0.5 % C8 fatty acid. The rest of the solution consists of 0.305% propylene glycol and 0.305% glycerine. The latter two compounds are added as stabilizers and preservatives. The solution itself has a suitable color such that it can be sprayed onto plants without visible detection by the deer and the composition of the formulation is such that it is not herbicidal or detrimental to the plant growth in any way.
