An implantable defibrillation system includes a lead system for making electrical contact with a heart, an atrial cardiovertor coupled to the lead system for applying cardioverting electrical energy to that is of the heart, and a ventricular defibrillator coupled to the lead system. The ventricular defibrillator includes a ventricular arrhythmia detector responsive to a control signal for detecting for a ventricular arrhythmia of the heart and a ventricular cardiovertor for cardioverting the ventricles of the heart in response to the ventricular arrhythmia detector detecting a ventricular arrhythmia. A ventricular arrhythmia detector enable stage provides the control signal in response to each application of cardioverting electrical energy to the atria by the atrial cardiovertor.
Un système de défibrillation implantable qui englobe une sonde pour établir un contact électrique avec le coeur, un dispositif de cardioversion auriculaire couplé à la sonde pour appliquer une énergie électrique de cardioversion au coeur et un défibrillateur ventriculaire couplé à la sonde. Le défibrillateur ventriculaire comprend un détecteur d'arythmie ventriculaire qui répond à un siganl de commande pour détecter une arythmie ventriculaire du coeur et un dispositif de cardioversion ventriculaire pour appliquer une énergie électrique de cardioversion aux ventricules du coeur en réponse à une arythmie ventriculaire détectée par le détecteur d'arythmie ventriculaire. Un stade de validation du détecteur d'arythmie ventriculaire permet l'envoi d'un signal de contrôle en réponse à chaque application de l'énergie électrique de cardioversion aux oreillettes par le dispositif de cardioversion auriculaire.
