Abstract: A deflection apparatus for the conveyor cable of a cable conveyor installation is described. The deflection apparatus is disposed on the side of the conveyor cable which is remote from the centre of curvature of the deflection region , and is in the form of a roller chain which is mounted in rails and from which project pivotal levers which extend over the cable and which are pivoted upwardly when holders arranged on the conveyor cable move into the region of the deflection apparatus.
