ABSTRACT A deflection yoke is disclosed for an in-line type colour image receiving tube which prevents distortion at the corners of the displayed image. The deflection yoke comprises a vertical deflection coil for generating a barrel magnetic field; a horizontal deflection coil for generating a pin cushion magnetic field; a coil separator for mounting these deflection coils; and a cross arm comprising a first portion for absorbing the leaked magnetic flux from said vertical deflection coil, a second portion provided integrally therewith for discharging magnetic flux and a first tongue provided integrally with said first portion in perpendicular intersection therewith, further comprising a second tongue extending forward in the axial direction of tube provided at the end portion of said first tongue.
