This invention is a surgical implantation device (10) for insertion of a deformable intraocular lens (54) into the eye through a relatively small incision made in the ocular tissue, comprising a lens injecting device (13) having a plunger (16) with a plunger tip (20) configured to provide a side clearance between the plunger tip (20) and lens insertion passageway (P) through the surgical implantation device (10) to accommodate the trailing haptic (58b) of the deformable intraocular lens (54) to prevent damage thereto during insertion.

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'implantation chirurgicale (10) pour insérer une lentille intra-oculaire déformable (54) dans l'oeil, par une incision relativement petite pratiquée dans le tissu oculaire.
