ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A degasifier for separating gases or vapors from gas/liquid or vapor/liquid flows in pipelines having a horizontal pipe section in which the flow is diverted by providing a back flow panel of a particular design in a particular position in a suction pipe which panel causes separation of bubbles which are removed by the suction pipe, captured in a container situated above the branch pipe and then exhausted therefrom. The degasifier consists of simple parts, has a small volume and can be applied to reduce gas content of a liquid flowing in a pipe for reduced flow resistance.
