ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A degassification elbow comprises a flow conduit which has an inner wall, an outer wall, and a plurality of openings. Two of the openings are formed by the walls of the flow conduit and at least one of the openings extends from the inner surface of the inner wall of the flow conduit to the outer surface of the inner wall of the flow conduit and is disposed between two of the openings. A process for use in association with the degassification elbow is also disclosed.
