A method is given for treating a subterranean formation penetrated by a wellbore with a viscosified fluid. The fluid contains a solid hydrolysable polyacid that upon dissolution and hydrolysis releases an acid that is a breaker for the viscosifying system. Suitable solid hydrolysable polyacids include polylactic acid and polyglycolic acid. The fluid also contains a pH control agent, present in an amount sufficient to neutralize any acid present in the solid hydrolysable polyacid before the injection and to neutralize any acid generated by the solid hydrolysable polyacid during the injection, so that the acid breaker is not available to break the fluid during the injection. In one embodiment the viscosifier is a viscoelastic surfactant fluid system and the solid hydrolysable polyacid is of a size selected to be a fluid loss additive, for example in fracturing or gravel packing. In another embodiment, the solid hydrolysable polyacid is used in particles sufficiently small that they enter the pores of the formation. In either case, the viscosifier is broken after the solid releases more acid than can be neutralized by the pH control agent.
L'invention concerne un procédé qui permet de traiter une formation souterraine percée d'un puits de forage avec un liquide dont la viscosité a été améliorée. Le fluide précité contient un polyacide hydrolysable solide qui libère, après dissolution et hydrolyse, un acide agissant comme agent de rupture du système améliorant la viscosité. Des polyacides hydrolysables appropriés peuvent être, entre autres, l'acide polylactique et l'acide polyglycolique. Le fluide contient également un agent régulateur de pH, présent dans une quantité suffisante pour neutraliser un quelconque acide présent dans le polyacide hydrolysable solide avant l'injection et pour neutraliser un quelconque acide produit par le polyacide hydrolysable solide pendant l'injection, de manière que l'acide agent de rupture n'est pas disponible pour rompre le fluide pendant l'injection. Dans un mode de réalisation, l'agent améliorant la viscosité est un système fluidique de tensio-actif viscoélastique et le polyacide hydrolysable solide est d'une taille choisie afin de constituer un réducteur de filtrat, par exemple pour la fracturation ou le gravillonnage des crépines. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, le polyacide hydrolysable solide est utilisé en particules suffisamment petites pour pénétrer dans les pores de la formation. Dans les deux cas, l'agent améliorant la viscosité est rompu après que le solide ait libéré plus d'acide que l'agent régulateur de pH ne peut en neutraliser.
