ABSTRACT A dehumidifier for removing moisture from a gas containing moisture to which the present invention relates comprises a first electrode which is in contact with a gas containing moisture on one surface thereof and, when a positive voltage is applied thereto, produces protons from said moisture, a proton conductive solid which is connected to the other surface of said first electrode and allows said protons to pass therethrough, and a second electrode which is connected to said proton conductive solid on one surface thereof in a portion other than the connection portion between said proton conductive solid and said first electrode and in contact with the air on the other surface thereof and which, when a negative voltage is applied thereof, produces hydrogen or water from said protons passed through said proton conductive solid.
