A dehydrator breather appartus (10, 100) for hydrating air (29) in a container (27), which includes purging of accumulated moisture by detecting (111) absorbed moisture in the breather (125) by closing an air passageway (105) while opening a moisture exit port (119 ) . A control module (101) adjusts a default time-based purge cycle to account for fluctuations in the detected moisture. The control module (101) includes an external communication capability (175) to enable a monitoring station to monitor the breather appartus (10, 100).

L'invention concerne un dessécheur d'air produisant une évacuation automatique de l'humidité par détection de l'humidité absorbée dans le dessécheur, ouverture d'un conduit d'admission d'air, et fermeture simultanée d'un canal d'évacuation de l'humidité. Un cycle de purge par défaut, défini selon une base temporelle, est modifié de manière à prendre en compte les fluctuations d'humidité détectées. Un dispositif de communication externe permet une surveillance à distance du dessécheur ou du réservoir rattaché à ce dernier.
