The present invention relates to methods and compositions for deinking waste paper, optionally in non-alkaline or low-alkaline systems. Deinking, compositions are provided that include a blend of a fatty acid and an alkoxylated fatty alcohol and/or alkoxylated fatty acid. The compositions may further include a second alkoxylated fatty alcohol and/or second alkoxylated fatty acid. Cationic derivatives such as cationic polymers also may be added to the deinking blend.
