A delivery apparatus for delivering a cargo to a target site of internal body tissue is provided. The delivery apparatus comprises a flexible tubular member having a distal end adapted for insertion proximate to the target site. A first electrode is configured for insertion within the flexible tubular member such that the first electrode is capable of being disposed proximate to the target site. A second electrode is configured to cooperate with the first electrode to form an electric field. A delivery component has a cargo carried thereby and is coupled with the first electrode. The delivery component is configured to degrade when exposed to the electric field such that the cargo is released to the target site upon degradation thereof. An associated method is also provided.
L'invention concerne un appareil de distribution destiné à distribuer une charge à un site cible d'un tissu corporel interne. L'appareil de distribution comporte un élément tubulaire souple ayant une extrémité distale conçue pour être insérée à proximité du site cible. Une première électrode est configurée pour être insérée dans l'élément tubulaire souple de telle sorte que la première électrode peut être disposée à proximité du site cible. Une seconde électrode est configurée pour coopérer avec la première électrode pour former un champ électrique. Un composant de distribution, ayant une charge transportée par celui-ci, est relié à la première électrode. Le composant de distribution est configuré pour se dégrader lorsqu'il est exposé au champ électrique de sorte que la charge est libérée sur le site cible lors d'une dégradation de celui-ci.
