- 20 - Delivery apparatus for sheets ABSTRACT The invention relates to a delivery apparatus for a printing press by means of which sheets are deposited alternatively on a pile or on catching arms of a catching device, said catching arms being temporarily movable out of a basic position into a catching position above the pile. A gear arrangement is provided for the movement of the catching arms and for the temporary hinging of stops, said stops being provided on the pile for respective front edges of the sheets, the gear arrangement being of such design that the hinging of the stops into a release position, permitting the removal of a test sheet, is effected immediately after the catching arms have been moved into the catching position. According to the invention, a dead-centre spring is swivel-connected to the gear arrangement, said dead-centre spring holding the gear arrangement with the catching arms alternatively in the basic position or in the catching position.
