ABSTRACT In a demand estimation apparatus wherein one cycle of a demand fluctuating substantially cyclically is divided into a plurality of sections having predetermined time intervals and wherein the demand is measured in accordance with the lapse of time in each section, and an estimation value is obtained on the basis or a measured result of the demand in the section, a demand estimation apparatus comprising first means for setting a section most adapted for the demand from the demand of said one cycle, and second means for setting a section of next cycle by comparing the section set by the calculation before said one cycle, with the respective section set by said first means and correcting to shift the former section to the latter section.
