ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improving and therapeutic agent for neuro- psychiatric symptoms accompanying dementia, which comprises, as an active ingredient, an acyloxyalkanoyl- choline salt represented by the following general formula: Image wherein R1 and R2, which may be the same or different, represent lower alkyl groups of 1 to 5 carbon atoms; X represents a sulfonic acid residue; and n is the same as the number of the sulfonyloxy groups of the sulfonic acid residue and represents an integer of 1 to 4.
