ICICAN 745 Abstract Demister Candle Assembly A demister candle assembly, and a method of using the assembly, to remove sulphuric acid droplets from a gaseous stream exiting a sulphuric acid absorption tower, wherein a demister candle is effectively sealed to a candle floor by a hydraulic seal. The demister candle can be rapidly removed from the candle floor for maintenance, and the assembly eliminates the need for gaskets between the demister candle and the candle floor.
