- 25 - ABSTRACT DEMODULATING MULTIPLEXED SIGNALS Angle modulated time-division multiplexed signals are demodulated prior to demultiplexing using a quadrature demodulator to demodulate digitised samples of the signal so as to produce a demodulated multiplexed signal. For each time slot of the multiplexed signal, the reference signal applied to the quadrature demodulator is determined by the value of the demodulated signal obtained in the corresponding time slot in the immediately-preceeding frame, this value being stored for use in the subsequent time slot. The demodulated multiplexed signals can be subsequently processed as required. A microprocessor may effect the demodulation. Phase or frequency modulation may be used.
