A demodulator receives an analog signal (IF) of an intermediate carrier frequency (f0) resulting from a modulation of two components in quadrature from a carrier by symbols. In order that the demodulator should no longer comprise an analog part consisting of mixer(s) and oscillators, and be less costly, the analog signal (IF) of intermediate frequency (f0) is applied directly to a single analog-to-digital converter (3b) to be sampled at a sampling frequency (fe) lower than the intermediate frequency (f0) and higher than twice the maximum symbol frequency (fs)max into a symbol digital signal (xy), the intermediate carrier frequency (f0) being independent of the symbol frequency variations (fs).

Un démodulateur reçoit un signal analogique (IF) à une fréquence porteuse intermédiaire (f¿0?) résultant d'une modulation de deux composantes en quadrature d'une porteuse par des symboles.
