A demountable barrier (8) for substantially preventing access of water into premises (2) through an access region (4) provided in a wall (6) of the premises. A frame member (10) has a longitudinal channel (20) in a first face (22) open towards the wall of the premises. A resilient membrane (30) is secured to the frame member and framed by the frame member and overlying and closing the longitudinal channel. A non-return air valve (28) extends to the longitudinal channel from a second face (24) of the frame member and is sealed through an aperture provided in the frame member. A compressible sealing member (38) is located between the frame member and the wall of the premises and pump means (40) provides pressurised air into the longitudinal channel through the non-return air valve, to effect ballooning of the resilient membrane overlying the longitudinal channel and compression of the compressible sealing member, whereby a substantially water-tight seal is effected between the frame member and the wall.
La présente invention concerne une barrière démontable (8) bloquant sensiblement l'accès de l'eau dans un local (2) par une région d'accès (4) située dans une paroi (6) du local. Un élément cadre (10) comprend un canal longitudinal (20) disposé dans une première face (22) ouverte vers la paroi du local. Une membrane élastique (30) est fixée à l'élément cadre et encadrée par ce dernier, en recouvrant et fermant le canal longitudinal. Un purgeur d'air anti-retour (28) se prolonge vers le canal longitudinal en partant de la seconde face (24) de l'élément cadre et est scellé à l'aide d'une ouverture se trouvant dans l'élément cadre. Un élément d'étanchéité compressible (38) se trouve entre l'élément cadre et la paroi du local, et des moyens de pompage (40) délivrent de l'air pressurisé dans le canal longitudinal par le purgeur d'air anti-retour, afin d'entraîner le ballonnement de la membrane élastique recouvrant le canal longitudinal et la compression de l'élément d'étanchéité compressible, permettant ainsi d'obtenir un joint étanche à l'eau entre l'élément cadre et la paroi.
