ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hydraulic process is provided for transporting a dense phase of solid particles in a liquid medium by use of a U-shaped transport line combined with injecting an amount of liquid into the transport line effective to reduce the density of solid particles to provide sufficient pressure in the transport line to lift the solids.
