ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for reducing the water content and improving the bulk density of powdered polypyrrolidone having an initial water content of about 5-60 wt percent which comprises compress- ing said powdered polypyrrolidone at temperatures of 50°C or higher and a pressure of 50 to 300 psi to produce solid polypyr- rolidone, such as kibble, having a dry bulk density of about 20-50 pounds per cubic foot. The product is especially useful as feed for the melt extrusion of polypyrrolidone filaments.
