The present invention relates to non volatile compositions that comprises: i) from about 0.5 % to about 60 % by weight, of a silicone resin; ii) from about 0.1 % to about 30 %, by weight, of a silicon gum; iii) from about 0.1 % to about 95 %, by weight, of a non volatile polysiloxane fluid which has a viscosity from about 1cStk to about 1000cStk; and from about 0.01 % to about 50 %, by weight, of an oral care active selected from teeth colour modifying substances, anti-tartar agents, anti-plaque agents, fluoride ion sources, anti-microbial agents, nutrients, antioxidants, H--2 antagonists, analgesics, anti-viral agents, mucosally absorbed pharmacological agents and mixtures thereof. A second aspect of the present invention relates to the user of non volatile oral care silicone compositions in the oral cavity to treat the hard and soft tissue surfaces wherein the composition comprises: (i) from about 0.5 % to about 60 %, by weight, of a silicone resin; (ii) from about 0.1 % to about 30 %, by weight of a silicone gum; (iii) from about 1cStk to about 1000cStk. Compositions of the present invention are useful for providing a substantive composition on the surfaces of the oral cavity which can provide prophylactic, therapeutic or cosmetic benefits.
