A process for the conditioning of dental cavities by etching in preparation for bonding restorations to enamel and dentin, comprising the steps: a) etching the dentin part of a dental cavity using an aquaeous composition containing, as an active constituent, EDTA in an effective amount, and b) etching the enamel part of said cavity using a conventional etching acid; and a kit for use in such process for conditioning.

Méthode de traitement des caries dentaires par mordançage en vue de lier les restaurations à l'émail et à la dentine et comportant les étapes suivantes : a) mordançage de la partie dentine de la carie à l'aide d'une composition aqueuse contenant, comme constituant actif, de l'EDTA en quantité efficace, et b) mordançage de la partie émail de la dite carie à l'aide d'un acide classique; trousse pour l'utilisation de cette méthode de traitement.
