There is provided a dental composition for relieving dentin hypersensitivity, which occludes dentinal tubules having an opening on the surface of dentin to relieve dentin hypersensitivity thereby to give an immediate relieving effect and to maintain the relieving effect for a long time. The dental composition for relieving dentin hypersensitivity, which comprises (A) alow molecular weight compound which can produce a precipitate which is hardly soluble in water when it reacts with a calcium compound, or which comprises the above component (A), (B) a low molecular weight compound which reacts with a calcium compound thereby to form a hardly-soluble-in-water precipitate and/or (C) an aqueous polymer emulsion having a particle size smaller than that of a dentinal tubule and forming an agglomerate or a hardly soluble gel larger than the diameter of a dentinal tubule when it reacts with a calcium compound.

L'invention concerne une composition dentaire pour inhiber l'hypersensibilité de la dentine, avec laquelle est obturée une ouverture d'un canalicule dentaire à la surface de la dentine. Cette composition présente ainsi un effet inhibiteur immédiat et prolongé et comporte: (A) une composition de faible poids moléculaire réagissant avec un composé de calcium pour ainsi former un précipité difficilement soluble dans l'eau; éventuellement conjointement avec (B) un composé de faible poids moléculaire réagissant avec un composé de calcium pour ainsi former un précipité difficilement soluble dans l'eau; et/ou (C) une émulsion polymère aqueuse d'une granulométrie inférieure au diamètre du canalicule dentaire et réagissant avec un composé de calcium pour ainsi former un agrégat d'une granulométrie supérieure au diamètre du canalicule dentaire, ou bien un gel difficilement soluble.
