The present invention relates to a dental composition comprising an aqueous Solution of 1 ) at least one acidic Compound, 2) at least one salt of said acidic Compound, 3) at least one indicator that generates a detectable Signal when said Solution reaches a particular pH value that is less than 5.5 wherein 1 ) and 2) are selected such that the aqueous Solution has a pH of less than that particular pH value where the indicator generates the Signal. It further relates to a method for detection of carious tissue on the surface of a tooth, comprising the Steps of 1 ) providing the above mentioned dental composition, 2) applying said composition to the surface of said tooth, and 3) measuring the amount of time required for the composition to change color. It further relates to the use of said dental composition to manufacture a remedy for detection of carious tissue.
L'invention se rapporte à une composition dentaire comprenant un solution aqueuse de: 1 ) au moins un composé acide, 2) au moins un sel dudit composé, 3) au moins un indicateur produisant un signal détectable lorsque ladite solution atteint une valeur de pH particulière inférieure à 5,5, les composés 1) et 2) étant sélectionnés de telle manière que la solution aqueuse présente un pH inférieur à cette valeur particulière de pH particulière à laquelle l'indicateur produit le signal. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de détecter les tissus carieux à la surface d'une dent, les étapes de ce procédé consistant à: 1) prendre la composition dentaire mentionnée ci-dessus, 2) appliquer ladite composition sur la surface de ladite dent, et 3) mesurer la temps nécessaire à la composition pour changer de couleur. L'invention se rapporte en outre à l'utilisation de ladite composition dentaire pour la production d'un produit pharmaceutique permettant la détection des tissus carieux.
