Carbosilane-containing polymers (including oligomers) having the following structural features: greater than one repeat unit; at least four Si-arylene bonds; at least one (meth)acrylate moiety, Si-H moiety, or both; no Si-O bonds; preferably at least four silicon atoms; wherein two silicon atoms are separated by one arylene group in each repeat unit.

La présente invention a pour objet des polymères et oligomères comprenant des motifs carbosilane. Ces composés présentent les caractéristiques structurales suivantes : plus d~un motif de répétition ; au moins quatre liaisons Si-arylène ; au moins un groupement acrylate (ou méthacrylate) ou un groupement Si-H, ou les deux ; pas de liaisons Si-O ; de préférence quatre atomes de silicium au minimum ; au sein de chaque motif de répétition, deux atomes de silicium sont séparés par un groupement arylène.
