ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An implement, for manual use, specially adapted to facilitate the removal of bacterial coating (plaque) from the interstitial surfaces of adjacent teeth and for cleaning the crevices therebetween. It comprises an elongated, substantially flat handle adapted to be held in a grip by the hand, and having at one end a transverse bore in which an axially-rotatable bushing is mounted. The bushing has a central transverse hole adapted for frictional engagement with an elongated tooth cleaning device such as an applicator or a toothpick; the tooth cleaning device projecting at a substantially right angle to the plane of the handle. Preferably, the bushing is capable of swivelling in a full circle.
