The present invention is a device that attaches to a light source to transmit and distribute light energy to the surface or internal chamber of a tooth for the purpose of photo-initiation of light curing resins and dental tooth whitening. More particularly, the invention may be used with a single or multiple Light Emitting Diode(s) to more efficiently collect and transmit the light energy emitted by the LED(s) resulting in increased total energy, uniform illumination, and collimation of the light energy delivered to the tooth.
L'invention concerne un dispositif qui permet d'attacher une source de lumière de transmission et de distribution d'énergie lumineuse à la surface ou à une chambre interne d'une dent, à des fins de photo-initiation de durcissement de résines par la lumière et de blanchiment de dents. Plus spécifiquement, le dispositif de cette invention peut être utilisé avec une seule ou avec plusieurs diodes d'émission de lumière afin de recueillir et transmettre plus efficacement l'énergie lumineuse émise par les diodes électroluminescentes, ce qui débouche sur une augmentation de l'énergie totale, un éclairage uniforme, et une collimation de l'énergie lumineuse distribuée à la dent.
