A dental polymerizable composition which comprises: (a) a fluorine compound comprising a chain polymer having a backbone comprising monomer units having a hydrophilic group and a fluoroalkyl-containing terminal group bonded to each end of the backbone; (b) a polymerizable monomer; and (c) a polymerization initiator. The dental polymerizable composition is suitable for use as, e.g., dental composite resins such as a dental composite filler, tooth crown material, and bonding material, dental adhesives such as a teeth-straightening adhesive, cavity-filling adhesive, and tooth fissure sealant, denture base materials, mucosal adjustment materials for denture bases, coating materials for application to a fissure sealant, tooth surface, or dental prosthetic appliance, and surface glazes. In particular, the composition is suitable for use in various coating applications, e.g., coating materials for application to a fissure sealant, tooth surface, or dental prosthetic appliance and in surface stains, surface glazes, hypersensitivity inhibitors, dental manicures, and the like.
