A dental tool for securely supporting a dental hand piece in relation to an anchor tooth within a patient's mouth, comprising means for securely engaging the anchor tooth, a substantially cylindrical rod securely engaged with and extending in a direction away from the means for securely engaging the anchor tooth, a support device having a first end in pivotable engagement with the cylindrical rod adapted to allow the second end of the support device to pivot about the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical rod and in relation to the anchor tooth and means for securely engaging the dental hand piece to the support device.
