An aqueous dentifrice composition comprising an aqueous vehicle containing at least two active ingredients reactive with each other, at least one of the active ingredients being encapsulated in a substantially water immiscible, pressure rupturable shell which is rupturable during use of the dentifrice, causing the same to be released for interaction with the other active ingredient, the shell being formed from a plasticized alkyl cellulose polymer. The dentifrice exhibits increased efficacy for fluoridation of teeth when the active ingredients are soluble fluoride salt and a calcium salt encapsulated in the plasticized alkyl cellulose polymer.
Composition dentifrice aqueuse comprenant un véhicule aqueux contenant au moins deux ingrédients actifs réactifs l'un avec l'autre, au moins un de ces ingrédients actifs étant encapsulé dans une enveloppe pratiquement non miscible dans l'eau se cassant sous l'effet d'une pression pendant l'utilisation du dentifrice, ce qui provoque la libération de ce dernier afin d'entrer en interaction avec l'autre ingrédient actif, cette enveloppe étant constituée par un polymère de cellulose d'alkyle plastifié. Ce dentifrice possède une efficacité accrue en ce qui concerne l'apport de fluorure aux dents, étant donné que les ingrédients actifs sont constitués par un sel fluorure soluble et par un sel de calcium encapsulés dans le polymère de cellulose d'alkyle plastifié.
