A dentifrice dispensing toothbrush (2) is described which utilizes a compress- ible elastic button (14) to pump a controlled quantity of dentifrice material from a replaceable cartridge to the brush head (10). In one embodiment, a cover (4) is pro- vided which protects the brush bead (10), bristles, pumping mechanism, and otherparts of the toothbrush (2). The cover (4) also seals the conduit (26) which supplies dentrifrice material to the brush head (10) to prevent it from becoming clogged with dried dentifrice material during periods of nonuse and to prevent accidental com- pression of the button (14).
L'invention concerne une brosse à dents (2) distributrice de dentifrice qui est pourvue d'un bouton souple, compressible (14) permettant de pomper une dose de dentifrice à partir d'une cartouche remplaçable et de la diriger vers la tête (10) de la brosse. Selon un mode de réalisation, un capuchon (4) protège la tête (10) de la brosse, les soies, le mécanisme de pompage et d'autres parties de la brosse à dents (2). Le capuchon (4) ferme également hermétiquement le conduit (26) qui amène le dentifrice vers la tête (10) de la brosse et empêche ainsi que ce conduit soit bouché par le dentifrice séché lorsqu'on n'utilise pas la brosse à dents, et prévient également toute compression fortuite du bouton (14).
