Abstract of the Disclosure A dentine pin has a screw-threaded portion intended to break off and remain in the dentine, a shank, and a latch portion for engagement by the latch of a dental handpiece. The shank is tapered or otherwise reduced in diameter to allow oscillation of the shank in the driving sleeve of the handpiece, thereby producing a self-aligning action. - 1 -
