A denture (10) is provided that exhibits a plate-like body (12) with external dimensions that may be arranged in rows and a substantially flat quadratic wax acceptance unit (22) for the acceptance of a toughly viscous mass, such as wax, into which a preponderance of teeth may be pressed, one next to the other. The wax acceptance unit (22) is delimited by convex, forward-thrusting vaulted upper and lower ridges (14, 16), and the toughly viscous mass exhibits a convex, forward-thrusting surface.
