The present invention relates to denture adhesive compositions comprising a safe and effective adhesive amount of a denture adhesive component; a safe and effective amount of a component selected from the group consisting of a water insoluble thermoplastic component, a water insoluble liquid component, water- soluble thermoplastic component, water-soluble liquid component, and mixtures thereof; wherein the composition comprises a normalized dislodgement force of from about 1100 to about 12,000 grams per sq.cm. and/or a dislodgement force ratio from about 1.1 to about 10.

L'invention concerne des compositions servant de ciment pour prothèse dentaire qui comprennent une quantité adhésive sûre et efficace d'un composant de ciment pour prothèse dentaire ; une quantité adhésive sûre et efficace d'un composant choisi dans le groupe constitué d'un composant thermoplastique insoluble dans l'eau, d'un composant liquide insoluble dans l'eau, d'un composant thermoplastique soluble dans l'eau, d'un composant liquide soluble dans l'eau et de mélanges de ces derniers. La composition présente une force de désassujettissement normalisée comprise entre environ 1100 et environ 12.000 grammes/cm2 et/ou un ratio de force de désassujettissement compris entre environ 1,1 et environ 10.
