Disclosed is a denture adhesive composition comprising a partial salt of a lower alkyl vinyl ether-maleic acid copolymer wherein the partial salt comprises a cationic salt function consisting essentially of: from about 0.01 % to about 10 % of ferric iron cations; and from about 0.1 % to about 75 % of divalent and/or monovalent metal cations selected from the group consisting of zinc, calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, ammonium, and mixtures thereof. The compositions may also comprise at least one non-adhesive self-supporting layer.

La présente invention concerne une composition adhésive pour prothèse dentaire comprenant un sel partiel d'un copolymère d'éther alkyle vinylique inférieur-acide maléique, le sel partiel comprenant une fonction sel cationique composée essentiellement de 0,01 % environ à 10 % environ de cations de fer ferrique, et de 0,1 % environ à 75 % environ de cations métalliques bivalents et/ou monovalents choisis dans le groupe composé du zinc, du calcium, du magnésium, du potassium, du sodium, de l'ammonium et de mélanges de ces derniers. Les compositions de la présente invention peuvent également comprendre au moins une couche autoportante non adhésive.
