Deoxydesmycosin. ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides novel derivatives of the antibiotic tylosin, of the formula: Image wherein R1 and R2 are a hydrogen atom or a hydroxy group, at least one of R1 and R2 being a hydrogen atom; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. These derivatives are antibiotics, and have strong anti-bacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria.
