The present invention relates to a method for the deoxygenation of materials of biological origin and particularly to the removal of oxygen from biomass derived organic compounds with carbon monoxide, to yield linear and branched hydrocarbons suitable as bio fuels or as blending stocks or components for bio fuels, such as gas, gasoline, diesel fuel and aviation fuel, as well as solvents. The method comprises contacting a feedstock with carbon monoxide in the presence of a catalyst comprising a metal selected from a group consisting of ruthenium, manganese, rhodium, rhenium, osmium, iridium, molybdenum, copper, zinc, palladium, platinum and cobalt, in the presence of water, under alkaline conditions at a temperature from 150 to 350 °C and under a pressure from 0.1 to 150 bar, to produce hydrocarbons.

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour la désoxygénation de matériaux dorigine biologique, et en particulier, pour lélimination de loxygène depuis la biomasse dérivée de composés organiques avec le monoxyde de carbone, pour donner des hydrocarbures linéaires et ramifiés, appropriés comme biocombustibles ou comme réserves de mélange ou composants pour biocombustibles, tels que le gaz, lessence, le diesel ou le carburant aviation, ainsi que des solvants. Le procédé comprend la mise en contact dune alimentation avec du monoxyde de carbone en présence dun catalyseur comprenant un métal choisi parmi le groupe consistant en le ruthénium, le manganèse, le rhodium, le rhénium, losmium, liridium, le molybdène, le cuivre, le zinc, le palladium, le platine et le cobalt, en présence deau, dans des conditions alcalines à une température allant de 150 à 350 °C et sous une pression allant de 0,1 à 150 bar, pour produire des hydrocarbures.
