The invention relates to depigmenting topical compositions and to their uses. In particular, the compositions according to the invention show an improved effectiveness in the dermatological treatment of pigmentation, without the disadvantages of the compositions of the prior art. A subject-matter of the invention is a topical composition comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, from 3 to 10% of rucinol or one of its salts. Another subject-matter of the invention is its use in the treatment of disorders of pigmentation of the skin

La présente invention porte sur des compositions topiques dépigmentantes et sur leurs utilisations. Linvention concerne en particulier des compositions présentant une efficacité améliorée dans le traitement dermatologique de la pigmentation, sans les inconvénients des compositions selon létat de la technique. Linvention porte sur une composition topique renfermant, dans un milieu physiologiquement acceptable, entre 3 % et 10 % de rucinol ou de lun de ses sels. Linvention porte également sur lutilisation de ladite composition pour le traitement des troubles de la pigmentation cutanée.
