A depth-marking system is used in connection with the formation of implant holes in the jawbone. Drill, countersinking drill and measuring instrument are arranged with band markings (A, C, E, G). Each implant (1) is ascribed a nominal length (L) which is less than the actual length of the implant. A first delimiting line (5) on a first marking (C) represents an indication of an absolute measurement (c) of the hole depth. A second delimiting line (6) on the said first band marking (C) or a second band marking represents an indication of a position or a level (16) which is reached by the upper surface (15b') of a cover screw (15) when the implant takes up its final position in the hole (14').

Système d'indication de profondeur utilisé lors de la formation de trous à implant dans l'os maxillaire. Un foret, un foret à fraiser et un instrument de mesure sont pourvus de bandes de repérage (A, C, E, G). On attribue à chaque implant (1) une longueur nominale (L) inférieure à la longeur réelle de l'implant. Une première ligne de délimitation (5) sur une première bande (C) représente une indication d'une mesure absolue (c) de la profondeur du trou. Une seconde ligne de délimitation (6) sur ladite première bande (C) ou sur une seconde bande représente le repère d'une position ou hauteur (16) atteinte par la face supérieure (15b') d'une vis de couverture (15) lors de la mise en place finale de l'implant dans le trou (14').
