ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Disclosed are new compounds of the formula (I): Image in which R represents a hydrogen atom, a linear, branched or cyclic, saturated or unsaturated, alkyl radical containing up to 8 carbon atoms, possibly substituted by a free or esterified carboxy radical, or an aralkyl radical containing up to 10 carbon atoms, and R' represents a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkyl radical containing up to 8 carbon atoms, a radical -COalk1 or a radical -(CH2)2N(alk2)2, alk1 and alk2 representing an alkyl radical containing up to 8 carbon atoms, as well as their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts. Also disclosed in a process for preparing these new compounds that have an important cholinomimetic activity by oral route and a long duration of action, making them useful for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease or of senile dementia.
