PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION L'invention a pour objet de nouveaux dérivés de 1-benzyl. 2-oxo 5-alcoxy pyrrolidine de formule (I): Image (I) dans laquelle R' représente un hydrogène, un alcoyle, linéaire, ramifié ou cyclique renfermant jusqu'à 12 atomes de carbone, un alcényle renfermant de 2 à 8 atomes de carbone, un acyle ren- fermant de 1 à 6 atomes de carbone ou un aralcoyle renfermant de 7 à 15 atomes de carbone et R représente un aryle renfermant jusqu'à 14 atomes de carbone éventuellement substitué ou un hété- rocyclique aromatique mono ou polycyclique éventuellement subs- titué, à la condition que si R est un phényle non substitué, R ne représente ni méthyle ni éthyle. L'invention a également pour objet la préparation de ces composés et leur application, inclus ceux dans lesquels R est un phényle non substitué et R est un méthyle ou éthyle, comme médicaments dans le traitement des asthénies intellectuelles ou nerveuses, des défaillances de la mémoire, de la sénescence, du surmenage intellectuel.
