ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Novel derivatives of trimethoxy-3,4,5 cinnamoyl piperazine having the formula: Image (I) in which Ar is : acetyl-4 ethoxy-2 phenyl : or a benzodioxannic group of formula : Image in which R is : - methylthio-2-ethoxy : - an ester group of formula -COOR1 in which R1 is selected from : methyl, n-propyl, n-butyl, isobutyl, (ethy1-2)n- butyl, n-octyl, cyclopropylmethyl, cyclobutylmethyl, cyclopentylmethyl, (cyclobutyl-2) ethyl, (cyclopropyl-2) ethyl, cyclpentyl, phenyl or (methyl-3)n-butyl in the last case, the compound of formula (I) having an asy- metric carbon being either in the form of a racemic mixture of two enantiomers, or in the form of the laevorotatory enantiomer of S configuration; or - a carbamate group of formula -NH-COOR2 in which R2 is methyl, a linear or branched alkyl group having 3 to 5 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 5 to 6 carbon atoms, or benzyl. The pharmaceutically acceptable salts are described. The derivatives are useful as anti-Heart ischemic agents.
