PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention a pour objet un procédé de préparation de nouveaux acides carboxyliques répondant à la formule I: Image (I) dans laquelle Z représente une chaîne hydrocarbonée aliphatique du type -(CH2)n- ou du type -CH=CH-(CH2)n-2-, la double liaison pouvant être placée en un point quelconque de la chaîne, n étant un nombre entier qui peut varier de 4 à 17, et dans laquelle X2 et X4 représentent un atome d'hydrogène, X1 représente un radical alcoyle ayant de 1 à 5 atomes de carbone et X3 représente un atome d'halogène. Ce procédé est essentiellement caractérisé en ce que l'on traite un aldéhyde approprié par un phosphorane approprié. Les produits obtenus par le procédé de l'invention possèdent des propriétés analgésiques et anti-inflammatoires.
