ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Des-glucohellebrin derivatives of the formula Image (I) R1 is an alhenzyl radical containing 2 to 5 C atoms, the phenyl radical, the benzyl radical or an alkyl radical containing 2 to 5 C atoms which contains a C1 - C4-alkoxy group or an oxo group, R2 is hydrogen, the phenyl group, the benzyl group or an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 C atoms, R3 is hydrogen or a C2-C6 alkanoyl group and R4 is the formyl radical (-CHO) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts there of which compounds have a positive intropic effect.
