Design software that is relatively easy to use and provides that a user need not be skilled at reading stress plots. The design software takes design requirements into account and indicates whether the proposed design meets the design requirements. The design software provides numerical output values for comparison to numerical design requirement input values so the user can readily see whether, and how, the design is unacceptable or is over-designed.

L'invention concerne un logiciel de conception relativement facile à utiliser (fig. 1, éléments 1-5), ne nécessitant pas qu'un utilisateur soit capable de lire des tracés de contraintes. Ce logiciel de conception prend en compte des exigences de conception (fig. 3) et indique si oui ou non la conception proposée satisfait aux exigences de conception. Ce logiciel de conception fournit une valeur de sortie numérique pour comparaison avec des valeurs d'entrée numériques d'exigences de conception de façon que l'utilisateur puisse facilement voir (fig. 17) si, et de quelle façon, la conception est inacceptable ou de conception trop ambitieuse.
