Desoldering Device and Improved Heater Assembly Therefor Abstract A desoldering device is disclosed having a removable solder collecting chamber connected at one end by means of a seal to a flange securing the heater assembly to the device. The heater assembly comprises a tubular sleeve secured to and extending through the flange adjacent the seal. A tubular support means having a length of heating wire wrapped therearound is mounted coaxial with and space from the tubular sleeve and has one end thereof extending freely into the collection chamber and the other end there of adapted to receive a removable tubular desoldering tip. Wires connecting the heating wire to a source of electri- cal energy pass between the seal and the flange and through a recess in the tubular sleeve.
