ABSTRACT In the desulfurizing method for removing sulfurous ingredients from combustion exhaust gases by contacting the combustion exhaust gases with a desulfurizing agent as heating medium in the form of fluidized bed of a fluidized bed combustion furnace, successful desulfurizing results can be obtained by using as the desulfurizing agent a hardened material whose particle size is 0.7 to 2 mm, prepared by mixing 10 to 70% by weight of cement with limestone or dolomite and hardening by adding water. The improved method shows high desulfurizing efficiency and stability.
