A stent assembly (10) comprises an expandable stent (40) having a first stent backbone (45) which extends from the proximal end (42) of the stent to the distal end (44) of the stent. The stent comprises a first stent back bone oriented in a direction which is substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the stent, and a plurality of interconnected first stent members (46) and second stent members (48). Each of the first stent members is oriented in a substantially longitudinal direction in the unexpanded state and the expanded state. Each of the second stent members is oriented in a substantially longitudinal direction in the unexpanded state and oriented in a substantially circumferential direction in the expanded state. The first stent backbone has a greater column strength than that of the plurality of interconnected stent members.
L'invention concerne un ensemble drain tuteur (10) comportant un drain tuteur extensible (40) pourvu d'une première dorsale (45) de drain qui s'étend de l'extrémité proximale (42) à l'extrémité distale (44) du drain tuteur. Le drain selon l'invention comprend une première dorsale orientée dans un sens sensiblement parallèle à un axe longitudinal du drain, et une pluralité de premiers éléments (46) et de deuxièmes éléments (48) de drain tuteur interconnectés. Chaque premier élément de drain est orienté dans un sens sensiblement longitudinal lorsqu'il se trouve à l'état non étendu et à l'état étendu. Chaque deuxième élément de drain est orienté dans un sens sensiblement longitudinal lorsqu'il se trouve à l'état non étendu et dans un sens sensiblement circonférentiel lorsqu'il se trouve à l'état étendu. La première dorsale du drain tuteur présente une force de colonne supérieure à celle de la pluralité d'éléments de drain tuteur interconnectés.
