A clamp for a detachable cable car or ski lift chair comprising a control lever (17) supporting a movable jaw (14) hinged to a fixed jaw (13). At least one flexion leaf spring (23) is provided between the clamp body (10) and the control lever (17) for biasing the lever into the closed position of the clamp. Two leaf springs may be arranged on either side of the clamp body (10).
